Pioneering Growth: Mr. Kakooza Ibrahim to Lead GAEAT and Garide Launch in Uganda
We are delighted to announce that Mr. Kakooza Ibrahim has been appointed as the new Head of Operations in Uganda. In his role, Mr. Ibrahim will lead the highly anticipated introduction of our core platforms, GAEAT and Garide, into the Ugandan market, beginning on 9 December 2024. This significant expansion marks an exciting new chapter for taxi drivers, restaurants, and liquor stores across Uganda, as they gain access to transformative solutions designed to enhance their operations and spur growth.
Revolutionizing the Market with Garide and GAEAT
Garide is an innovative taxi-hailing platform that provides ride-sharing and parcel delivery services. It aims to offer an efficient and reliable transport solution tailored to meet the growing demands of urban mobility in Uganda.
GAEAT, our food and drink platform, empowers restaurants and liquor stores—our “merchants”—by allowing them to list menus and beverage items. This opens new pathways for self-pickup and delivery options for customers, creating a seamless and modern dining experience.
Case Study: Rising Demand for Food Delivery
The burgeoning demand for food delivery services in Uganda cannot be overstated. As urban centers grow and lifestyles change, more Ugandans are opting for the convenience of food delivery. Several local startups have demonstrated this demand, but many lack scalability and technological sophistication. GAEAT enters this burgeoning market with an intent to elevate these services, streamlining operations for merchants and enriching the consumer experience with reliable, efficient, and diverse choices.
Case Study: The Necessity of Taxi-Hailing Platforms
The transportation sector in Uganda is poised for transformation, as seen with the growth of taxi-hailing services. Existing platforms have set the stage for market validation, proving that Ugandans value the convenience, safety, and reliability these services offer. However, challenges such as inconsistent service and lack of coverage still persist. Garide aims to address these shortcomings by offering a comprehensive and technologically robust solution, tailored to adapt to local needs and scaled for widespread impact.
Vision and Mission
Vision: Our vision is to empower communities through innovative technological solutions that elevate local businesses, foster connections, and drive economic prosperity in Uganda.

Under his stewardship, we are confident that GAEAT and Garide will not only meet but exceed the expectations of our partners and users.
Excitement is building as we prepare for the 9 December 2024 launch. This rollout promises to set new standards in service delivery within the taxi and food sectors, and we look forward to establishing lasting partnerships with local communities.
